With the Si5332-AM as the flagship model, this product series utilises Skyworks’ proprietary MultiSynth™ flexible frequency synthesis technology to generate any combination of output frequencies with a synthesis error of 0 ppm. Supporting up to 12 differential clock outputs, a single device can replace multiple clock ICs and oscillators, significantly reducing the complexity and cost of the in-vehicle system’s bill of materials (BOM).
Skyworks’ automotive timers incorporate Smart Clock™ technology, featuring reference input health monitoring and fault detection capabilities. They automatically switch to a redundant backup source in the event of a primary reference source failure. Even if both primary and backup reference sources fail, the output clock remains stable within ±5% of the target frequency, ensuring comprehensive safety and reliability for in-vehicle systems. The product supports flexible configuration, allowing for rapid customisation via ClockBuilder Pro™ software. The products offer exceptional flexibility, supporting arbitrary frequency mapping from any input to any output, with a maximum frequency of 3.2 GHz. Certain models support up to 12 outputs, enabling the simultaneous generation of low-jitter synchronous Ethernet clocks and PCI spread-spectrum signals—a first in the industry.
